The Fellowship of the Ring

Our latest project in my Painting class was to paint a picture very simplistically, cut it up, and then glue it back together shifted. This is my painting before I had to hack it to bits. I have never felt so conflicted before about a painting. I've never cut up one of my drawings before; it was so weird. But, in case everything got ruined after I sliced it up, I took this picture with my iPod (it would've been too large to fit on my scanner). It is now properly hacked up, and I think it's coming along okay. The way I cut it didn't end up taking very kindly to being put back together in a somewhat rectangular shape. I'll get pictures again when it's all finished and you can decide whether it was really worth it.

If you didn't realize it, by the way, this is the Fellowship of the Ring from Lord of the Rings. And if you further didn't know, the characters are, from left to right: Pippin, Merry, Boromir, Gimli, Legolas, Aragorn, Gandalf, Sam, and Frodo.
