Courage at Sunset

Once upon a time I decided to do something a little crazy.  I went on a hike by myself and decided to draw the sunset.  It was refreshing and exhilarating and wonderfully terrifying.  I've always been scared of sunsets and skies in general.  I always thought "I can't draw clouds, they're all flow-y and shapeless and they keep changing so much!" and then "I can't paint yellow clouds, clouds are supposed to be all white and grey, even though they're really blue and green and purple and gold!"   Well, it may not be a completely realistic painting, but I think it was a success.  It reminds me of Quentin Blake illustrations.  

Also, forgive my poor picture, but since I'm away from my precious scanner I decided to make it a little more interesting and give it some ambiance or something.  I dunno, I like it.
